Cockenzie slip and boatyard , West Harbour
A large shed with a smaller one to the immediate W on the S side of the Harbour. Slipway to N
The history of the boatyard goes back to the 1940's where it was used to build Pontoons and to build Torpedo boats for the war.
The Boatyard has produced fishing vessels and yachts
Today boat owners use the sheds to repair their boats
Sadly the boatyard is at risk of being demolished and replaced with houses and flats .........
